Justin Townes Earle
Not that we don't love our singer-songwriter troubadours. Especially Justin Townes Earle. He played the Old Rock House last summer, shortly before making a trip to rehab. Despite his problems, he pulled off a performance that left people emotionally shredded. We'd love to see what he can do while healthy.

Avett Brothers
It's not a summer festival without a Sunday afternoon North Carolina country stomp. Carolina Chocolate Drops provided it last year. Only the Avett Brothers can come close to matching the Piedmont intensity. Considering the packed crowds every time they come to St. Louis, there's no doubt they could have the entire Central Field doing a jig in the midday sun.

Janelle Monae
Let's get her before she takes over the music world. In October she dominated as Of Montreal's opening act. She's ready for the big crowds, which she'll no doubt experience while touring with Prince. Not that we'd complain if Prince joined her. Or Of Montreal, for that matter.
