After last weekend's total insanity, things are a little calmer in the 'Lou. As usual, however it wasn't hard to find ten things you could be doing with your time: Kinky Friedman plays tonight at Off Broadway, the Incurables are releasing an EP at the same place tomorrow and Bunnygrunt is playing a free show at the Schlafly Tap Room, also on Saturday. All that and more (six more, to be precise) await:

Friday: Dax Riggs @ Old Rock House Former Acid Bath frontman Riggs went solo and mellowed a little four years ago. He joins local noisemaking veterans Union Electric. With The Union Electric. 8 p.m. $12.

Dierks Bentley @ Family Arena Bentley's gone through a few evolutionary phases over the course of his hit making career -- the current version is dialing back the twang just a touch and heading for broader waters.7:30 p.m. $41-48.

Kinky Friedman @ Off Broadway The endlessly entertaining Kinky Friedman makes his first stop in St. Louis in years. Read our interview and get yourself ready for whatever comes.With Mary McBride. 8 p.m. $25-28.

Local H @ the Firebird Relentless, acclaimed rock band Local H has been doing this for twenty three years; The duo is known for its creative approach to live shows. With The Weeks. 9:30 p.m. $12-14.

Pig Slop Fundraiser @ Pig Slop Studios There will be dancing, there will be weirdness, there will be funds raised. Several interesting up and comers playing this one. With Alex Body, Navigator, Spelling Bee, Googolplexia and DJ Invisible Cola. Donations requested.

Rhyme or Reason @ 2720 Cherokee Funk band Rhyme or Reason turns two and celebrates with some party-starting friends. With Chrissy Renick & SunnySide BandWagon, and Upright Animals. 9 p.m. $7-$10

Bunnygrunt @ Schlafly Tap Room Bunnygrunt's Eric Von Damage will doing the Def Leppard thing at the Tap Room this weekend owing to his still-healing arm. With Black James and the Kyle Sowashes. 9 p.m. Free.

Sunday William Fitzsimmons @ the Firebird Wind down with the confessions of William Fitzsimmons, whose songs Katie Moulton describes as, "spare, lovely and moving." With Slow Runner. 9 p.m. $12.
