It's a good weekend to have a light wallet -- free shows include the inaugural U. City Jazz Festival in Heman Park, Taste at Solider's Memorial and the Soulard Blues Band playing at the Boathouse in Forest Park. Apologies to They Might Be Giants, which plays the Pageant on Saturday, but there are so many good options in the next couple of days. Take particular note of Tennis System, the kick ass shoegaze group that's been moved from Pig Slop onto the Sleepy Sun show at the Firebird.
