Homecoming: Fluxus and Visual Poetry by Regional Natives (Opens Friday) This new art exhibition opens Friday. Writes Paul Friswold: "Some people will tell you that Fluxus died in 1978 with George Maciunas, but how can Fluxus die? The Fluxus approach to art is not any one thing; by nature, Fluxus art is intermedia, combining sound, object, image, text, audience and time into a single experience that allows for both happenstance and accident." Hamlet in Forest Park (All Weekend) "Shakespeare Festival St. Louis celebrates its tenth season of playing with the Bard in Forest Park with the mighty Hamlet," Paul Friswold tells us in his preview of this annual summer festival. "Look, everybody goes on at length about the universality of Shakespeare, but this one really does have something for everyone. It begins as a ghost story, becomes a murder mystery, takes a turn into gritty revenge thriller, detours briefly into a frustrated love story, wanders in the sere wastelands of proto-existentialism and culminates in a series of stabbings -- if you can't find something in that to get excited about, you're just being willfully obdurate." The Uncanny Dandies: A Comic Strip (Friday) "Performers of both sexes show off their secret identities in the Uncanny Dandies: A Comic Strip, an evening of (un)costumed burlesque that definitely wouldn't earn the Comics Code Seal of Approval," writes Jason Toon of this burlesque show on Saturday night. Greek Fest at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church (All Weekend) Held at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church (1755 Des Peres Road, Town & Country; 314-966-2255 or www.stlgreekfest.com). Alison Sieloff writes: "Greek Fest runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Monday (May 28 through 31).
