Blues City Deli Tenth Anniversary Street Fest w/ Funky Butt Brass Band, Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers, the Blues City Deli All-Stars, Roland Johnson and Soul Endeavor, the 24th Street Wailers, Hank Mowery and the Hawktones @ Blues City Deli 11 a.m. | free Blues City Deli celebrates ten years of music and great food with a special street fest in lieu of its usual Saturday afternoon in-store entertainment. Catch a selection of its regulars along with a couple special guests from out-of-town. Come hungry -- the po'boys are outstanding. (MS)

Rock University Festival w/ Shotgun Abby, Chasing Ginger, Moon Thief, Revence, The Sirens, Opposites Attack, Fight For Midnight, Go To Sleep, Exit 714, Inimical Drive, Hollow Point Heroes, River City Sound, The Close Encounters, Ekkomouse, Jedi Nighties, Midwest Avengers, Silencing the Storm, No Days Last, Fumer, Red Zero, Beast Mode, Unifyah, The Wandering Madman @ The Ready Room and the Demo 4 p.m. | $10 Over twenty bands for just ten bucks! I'm no mathemagician or anything, but that seems like a pretty cheap per-band rate. Support local music! (DH)

Funk Fest 9 w/ Funky Butt Brass Band, Big Brother Thunder & the Master Blasters, The People's Key, Al Holiday & the East Side Rhythm Band, The Service, Naked Rock Fight, The Provels, Big Chief @ Broadway Oyster Bar 8 p.m. | $10 The per-band rate here is slightly more expensive (but still dirt cheap), but the funk factor is cranked up considerably. Lolipop Records Showcase w/ Mr. Elevator & the Brain Hotel, Froth, Corners, Wyatt Blair, Animal Teeth, Dad Jr. @ Plush 8 p.m. | $10/$12 Washington University's radio station, KWUR, co-sponsors this event featuring poppy rock'n'roll bands from west coast label Lolipop Records.
