Toys That Kill with the Jetty Boys, the Haddonfields, the Decracks and the Deforesters at the Firebird July 10 8 p.m. / $10

This is one of many of Nighthawk's alcohol-fueled, pop-punk parties to be hosted throughout the summer of 2013. Bring your leather jackets and chucks, then ditch them in the dumpster and party naked at the Firebird until the cops come and ruin your life. Toys That Kill plays great garage rock influenced pop-punk (the singer kind of sounds like the guy from Cocksparrer). The Jetty Boys do an enthusiastic, early '90s-era Screeching Weasel impression. The Deecracks play Dillinger Four-esque jams about drinking too much and drinking way too much...and Belgium. The Deforesters, from Toronto, pull off the Alkaline Trio-ish sound well, throwing in overwhelmingly mob-like group vocals. The Haddonfields are going to play a million songs in twenty minutes and then steal your girlfriends.
