Hailing from Alabama, the Immortal Lee County Killers have the blues running through their veins like red-clay-tinted water trickling down a tributary. Founding members Chet Weise and Toko the Drifter infuse punk volume into their shuffles without tinkering with traditional chords. The results are similar to remastered versions of vintage 45s -- like, say, what the White Stripes would sound like if they started with Led Zeppelin's arena-bombastic blues covers and worked backward to the original artists. New member John Wesley Myers' organ tones add a soothing presence to these raw cuts, like an ice cube in scalding soup.
Show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $6 to $8; call 314-773-3363 for more information.
