Last year's model of the annual
Lot music festival shone the spotlight on some of the areas best bands (and best beer). This year's edition of the outdoor event is bigger and arguably stronger, judging from the musicians scheduled to appear:
Tight Pants Syndrome (buzzy power-pop), the
Marquise Knox Blues Band (uh, blues),
Gentleman Auction House (orchestral indie sweetness),
Magnolia Summer (down-home rustic twang),
Shame Club (kickass hard rock),
Fertilizer Bomb (south-side grit),
Murder City Players (classic reggae) and Nyquill from the
Royal Illete (smooth hip-hop flow). More details are available at
www.mstl.org/lot; just pray it doesn't rain.
