The timing for the Radiators' return to St. Louis couldn't be better. The New Orleans swamp-rock combo comes to town on the heels of the Saints' miraculous Super Bowl victory and after the haze of last weekend's Mardi Gras revelry. Really, though, there's never a bad time for a Radiators show. As it has for the past 30 years, the quintet plays sweaty, can't-stand-still music from its own catalog as well as songs from the depths of the vast New Orleans songbook. By mixing the Meters' funky strut, Creedence Clearwater Revival's bayou boogie and Memphis soul, the Radiators remain the very definition of a party band. Choose your dancing shoes accordingly.
