Saturday (May 24):

Bluesweek Festival w/ Royal Southern Brotherhood, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Harp Attack!, the St. Louis Social Club, Guitar Masters, Good for the Soul, the Brothers @ Chesterfield Ampitheater noon | $10 Yeah, it's in Chesterfield now, and yeah, that kinda sucks. But it doesn't take away from the quality of the performers on the lineup, including Royal Southern Brotherhood. Check out day two, featuring artists including Otis Clay. (DH)

Whiskey War Festival Barbecue Hootenanny w/ Moonglampers, Nick Pence, South City Honky Tonk Hootenanny, Redheaded Strangers @ Livery Company 2 p.m. | $5-$10 Listen, this fest has both "whiskey" and "barbecue" right there in its name. I do not see a way for this not to be awesome. For more on the big event this leads up to, check out our preview on last year's Whiskey War Fest. (DH)

For more options on Saturday evening, head to the Pageant for Jimmy Tebeau's return to the Schwag, or take a trek to East St. Louis, Illinois, to catch Master P.

Sunday (May 25):

Rockabration 4 w/ Shark Dad, The Vondrukes, Smooth Talkin' Perverts, The Earth Mafia @ Off Broadway 7 p.m. | $7-$10 Read more about Shark Dad and Rockabration in this week's edition of Fill in the Blank. (MS)

Summer Breeze "Rock the Block" Day Party Series w/ DJ Agile 1, DJ Nune, DJ Jewel, Mocha Latte @ The Marquee Restaurant & Lounge 4 p.m. | free This daytime summer-themed party features four hours of DJs and an Absolut Vodka open bar before 5 p.m. RSVP online for free admission. For more on the Marquee, a relatively new restaurant-lounge, check out this first look with a photo tour. (MS)

Rich McDonnell Tribute Concert w/ Terell Stafford, Bruce Barth, Tim Warfield, Carla Cook, Montez Coleman, Bob DeBoo @ Jazz at the Bistro 7 p.m. | $25 This memorial concert for the late MAXJAZZ Records founder and Jazz St. Louis board member Rich McDonnell closes out this season at Jazz at the Bistro, preceding a $10 million renovation for a new jazz center. Experience the venue in its current incarnation while you still can. (MS)

Schlafly Pork Shop w/ Rough Shop, Trigger 5, Dock Ellis Band 11 a.m. | free We look forward to this event every year: cool stuff, great food, cold beer and, of course, live music. More than 50 booths deal their loot starting at 9 a.m. with music kicking off at 11 a.m. (MS)

The Trip Daddys also play tunes from its recently released album at BB's Jazz, Blues & Soups this Sunday.

Note: Though we wish we could, we can't feature every great show happening in town in just one measly post. Peruse the St. Louis concert calendar for more ideas anytime. Let everyone know what else you're looking forward to seeing this weekend in the comments below, and submit show info online to be considered for inclusion on these lists.
