Friday:

Gold Motel @ The Firebird w/ We Should Leave This Tree 8:00 p.m. | $10 Singer-songwriter Greta Morgan, formerly of The Hush Sound, traveled to California following that band's disbanding and returned to write dreamy, nostalgic summer jams inspired by the trip. "Gold Motel" is the name the band members literally pulled out of a hat. (DH)

Della Reese: My Life in Song @ The Sheldon 8:00 p.m. | $40-$60 Don't you know? That "Touched By An Angel" chick used to be a musician! Who'dathunkit. (DH)

No Class / Dark Ages / Miami Dolphins - Generator Show @ The Mississippi Riverside w/ Totally Gay Cop, Who Fucking Cares? 6:00 p.m. | Free Outdoors, next to the river, powered by a generator. Punx unite! Remember the van show? (DH)

Saturday:

Future & Pusha T @ Ambassador 7:30 p.m. | $20-$65 This show was cancelled and rescheduled last time it was supposed to happen. Here's hoping for a better round two. (DH)

Naked Raygun @ The Firebird w/ The Humanoids, Ultraman, Better Days, Hot Atomics 7:30 p.m. | $15 Chicago's legendary Naked Raygun plays St. Louis with a stacked bill of talented locals; not to be missed. (DH)

Gold Motel - Friday @ the Firebird

Darin Gray / Bill Horist Duo @ Schlafly Tap Room w/ Ghost Ice, Radiant Husk Duo, Larva 9:00 p.m. | Free A rare show from a pair of boundary-pushing jazz titans. The weirdest thing you can do this weekend, and I mean that very much as an endorsement. (KM)

The Blind Eyes @ Blueberry Hill w/ Glossary, the Beth Bombara Band 8:00 p.m. | $7 It's been a little while since we heard from the Blind Eyes, and the excellent band has only gotten better since the addition of guitarist Andy White. Find your thrill, indeed. (KM)

Union Electric Album Release Show @ Off Broadway w/ Middle Class Fashion, Pretty Little Empire, Red Squad 8:00 p.m. | $10-$13 Veteran St. Louis rock band Union Electric welcomes its first full length with a diverse line-up of its exceptional peers. (KM)

Sunday:

Magic City @ Lemmons w/ The Sour Notes, Spectator, Golden Curls 7:30 p.m. | $5 The creators of one of this year's best records thus far (Spectator) and our favorite one from 2011 (Magic City) in one place. (KM)

Fang Island @ Off Broadway 8:30 p.m. | $13/$16 Summer Jam central. Get some friends together for a barbecue beforehand. (KM)
