If
Titus Andronicus and the
Mars Volta are too tame for your tastes tonight, might I suggest heading to the
Lemp Neighborhood Arts Center for
Caroliner Rainbow, Skarekrau Radio and Spunky Toofers? About the first legendary band, Lemp publicity guru and all-around good dude Charlie J. Moneybags says:
These guys deck the stage out in tremendous, homemade, Day-Glo neon sets, and
have frighteningly ridiculous matching day-glo costumes. The music is like a
terrifying nightmare carnival from 1902. Think Butthole Surfers and Gorgoroth
playing psychedelic folk on Sesame Street after dropping bad, bad acid.
Who can resist that?
Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. Buy 'em here.
