It's only Wednesday, but there are plenty of stellar going-out options tonight in town.

At the Old Rock House, fans of pure pop -- think modern acts such as Alphabeat or the Bird and the Bee and old-school acts such as ABC and Duran Duran -- should check out Chicago's Dot Dot Dot. The band brings the dance party. The show starts at 9 p.m., cover is just $6. Bonus MP3 -- below!

MP3: Dot Dot Dot, "Stay"

Another sort of dance party -- the polyrhythmic kind -- should break out at Off Broadway, thanks to the presence of NOMO, a band "which draws on hypnotic beats, soul-jazz saxophones and relentless jams." huntergatherer opens. That show starts at 8 p.m. 21-plus: $10. Under 21? $12.

Over at the Firebird, Trevor Hall -- last seen mesmerizing audiences as the opener for Matisyahu last year -- is doing his own headlining show. Opening is Tomorrow's Bad Seeds, Team Relevance and the amazingly named Kosha Dillz. 8 p.m. show, $10.

And finally, Robert Earl Keen (with opener Bobby Bare Jr) brings his unique Texas Confessionals to the Pageant. $25, 8 p.m. show.
