To describe today's St. Louis weather as dreary is putting it mildly. I've been listening to nothing but pre-1984 Cure all morning. (Really, dudes, all cats are grey.) However, there's a band coming to town tonight that just might put a wee bit of spring in your step: Hot Panda. Hailing from Canada, this group trades in cheery, keyboard-driven tunes. Think Destroyer playing it straight, or lesser-known Britpop players who never quite reached the NME's hype-machine. Listen to "Chinatown Bus" and head to Off Broadway tonight -- after all, the show is free!
