Tonight! The ACBs, Justin Ripley and the Blind Eyes at the Firebird

Pop music fans have a reason to leave the house tonight, for the excellent triple bill at the Firebird. From Kansas City, fantastic power-pop group the ACBs -- think XTC meets Cheap Trick meets Todd Rundgren -- will be returning to the venue; its last gig there was performing at the Blind Eyes' CD release party in March. And what do you know? The Blind Eyes are also playing tonight! Finally, Justin Ripley (who used to be in a great little Lawrence band called the Pomonas) will be performing some of his solo stuff.
