Christian Schaeffer deemed Pretty Little Empire's Reasons and Rooms one of the best local albums of 2010. Soon after -- specifically, the weekend before Christmas -- the band traveled to Chicago and recorded a video for the tune "Now Is Not the Time." Why PLE isn't huge -- or why it hasn't yet recorded a Daytrotter session, hint hint -- is beyond me. This song is better and more sincere than most hyped stuff circling through the blogosphere.
