Are you sick of internships where you're supposed to feel grateful for the privilege of opening the mail -- or doing the reporting while someone more experienced gets the byline? The RFT has an opportunity for you! We're looking to hire a few editorial interns for the fall semester, and while we can't pay, we can promise you lots of mentoring and the chance to do real journalism.
We're flexible on most details, from the hours you're here to the type of stories you'll cover. (We hope to hire interns for both our news and our music team.) But we cannot bend in a few key areas: You must live in the St. Louis area. You must be enrolled in a college or university that's willing to give you course credit for the experience. You must be outgoing enough to pick up the phone and talk to people. And believe us when we warn that you'll only be a good fit if you're willing to laugh at yourself -- and your coworkers. (There are some random people on this staff; we're just sayin'.)
