Last time BHTM came to town, our own Christian Schaeffer had this to say:
Big Head Todd and the Monsters made its mark at a time when other melodic (and occasionally downtempo) bands such as Grant Lee Buffalo could actually get radio play. However, while the mainstream's recognition of the act may have peaked with the 1993 alt-rock sleeper hit "Bittersweet," the Colorado band hasn't slowed down since then. In fact, BHTM has successfully sloughed off its one-hit wonder status by never really changing its approach to its square-shouldered, heartland rock & roll. The band's stayed vital by building a solid fan base through regular touring and recording, having spent over twenty years in the business.
