This Sunday, September 19, at the Sheldon, musicians are banding together for Johnnie's Jam: A Tribute to Johnnie Johnson. The star-studded event is a benefit for Johnnie Be Good, Art Holliday's documentary on the Chuck Berry pianist. The lineup features three members of Conan O'Brien's band (Jimmy Vivino, Mike Merritt and James Wormworth), a trio known as Johnson's "unofficial East Coast band," Holliday says. Johnson's protege, Dona Oxford, is also flying in for the occasion. The show starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20 to $30. Courtesy of Holliday, however, we have a pair of tickets to give away to the show. If you'd like to win them, leave a comment with a valid email address and your full name, and a comment explaining why you want to go. This contest closes at 5 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, September 16, and you can pick up the hard tickets at the RFT on Friday. Good luck!
