Win Widespread Panic Tickets! [Update with Winners]

Jul 14, 2011 at 8:03 am

With all the fanfare surrounding U2's upcoming record-breaking performance at Busch Stadium, we'd like to take this moment to draw your attention to another rarefied titan of live music: Widespread Panic, whose 25th Anniversary Tour comes to the Peabody Opera House on October 12th. The kings of jam from Athens, Georgia have long transcended the rote mashing associated with the genre by infusing a huge number of musical styles into surprisingly tight-knit compositions. It's not exactly punctual music, but there is no denying the appeal.

Tickets for the Peabody show go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m., but we have three pairs to give to a few folks before they even hit the market.

Update: Congratulations, Amy, Grat and Tobin! Check your email for details on how to collect your tickets.

To win, tell us which of the band's fifteen previous St. Louis shows had your favorite setlist and why. Diehards already know why that is much, much easier to do than you might think. Hey: Bet that Off Broadway show in November of 1989 was a good time!
