Mississippi Nights Last Show(s) Information

Posted By on Wed, Jan 10, 2007 at 2:45 PM

Hot on the heels of last week's blog post, in this week's paper I have an expanded story about what's going on with Mississippi Nights (914 North First Street; 314-421-3853). Check it out here.

In the meantime, here's some updated information on the last two shows at the venue.

This Friday, January 12, features the last local show, with: Pomeroy, Novella, the Cause, Standpointe and Upright Animals. Tickets are only available at the door and are $10.

The final jam on Friday, January 19 starts at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.) and so far confirmed are members of Big Fun, the Urge, Fragile Porcelain Mice, Slapdash and others. The venue will have tickets available at the door and advance tickets can be purchased from MetroTix, either online or by calling 314-534-1111. (Don't call the venue!)

I'm also working on a piece for a future issue that's to be filled with remembrances and memories of shows, happenings and such at the venue. If you have any fabulous tales that you want to send in for consideration for print, please e-mail me at with your story -- and include your full first and last name and phone number for verification. We'll print the best ones.
