Bluebird Grand Opening: Photos

Posted By on Fri, Jul 13, 2007 at 2:16 PM

I forgot my camera (it's still packed), but Matthew Hurst over at Highway 61 (revised) took a bunch of photos of the new venue, the Bluebird, and wrote a review here. I went and think the venue has a lot of promise, but what was more heartening was seeing how many different bands were represented in the attendees; by my estimate, around fifteen.

This post goes out to Norm from So Many Dynamos, who wanted to make the opening, but is in San Francisco at John Vanderslice's Tiny Telephone studio, recording with Chris Walla from Death Cab for Cutie. Check out the band's hysterical recording blog here.
