MP3: David Byrne & Brian Eno, "Strange Overtones"

Posted By on Tue, Aug 12, 2008 at 12:54 PM

Head on over to, put in your email address and zip code, and a free download of a new song from David Byrne and Brian Eno, "Strange Overtones," can be yours. The pair's first collaboration since 1981's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts (right?), an album called Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, will be available at that Web site on Monday, August 18, as a free stream and for purchase in digital/physical form. Byrne's tour -- which comes to the Fox Theatre on Saturday, October 18 -- will feature him playing songs from the pair's three Talking Heads album collaborations, Ghosts and the new stuff. Eno won't be there, but with music this good, that shouldn't deter you from going to the show.
