Tonight! KDHX's Scene of the Crime Explores St. Louis Music History

Posted By on Mon, Aug 25, 2008 at 3:29 PM

(Full disclosure: Ann and Jason Rerun are on right after me on KDHX, although that shouldn't prevent you from tuning in.) Says Jason on the TIRC-List:

Tonight on Scene of the Crime (which airs on KDHX 88.1 FM from 10 p.m-midnight and online at www.kdhx.org) is the first part of a three episode special on St. Louis area bands. This special is a musical tour through area Punk, Power Pop, New Wave, Hardcore, etc. The first part will feature bands from the late 70's-early 80's. Tonight you'll hear the sounds of The Dinosaurs, Max Load, Screamin' Mee-Mees, The Welders, The Retros, Oozkicks, Zanti Misfits, Brown & Lagrehr, The Strikers, The Clones, The Studebakers, Bad Beets, The Obvious, and lots more! You'll hear vinyl releases as well as some unreleased and live recordings! Wowza!

Wowza, indeed. I'm hoping to bring some of this stuff to A to Z in some form, so stay tuned...
