Splitface and June 16th Receive NPR "Song of the Day"

Posted By on Thu, Aug 28, 2008 at 2:17 PM

Congratulations to localish hip-hop artists Splitface and June 16th. The pair was the NPR "Song of the Day" yesterday for "Calm After the Storm," taken from the album Raydeeohh. Go check it out HERE. It's the perfect laid-back track for the upcoming Labor Day weekend, with a Massive Attack-ish trip-hop beat, fluttering guitars and forceful (but somehow still relaxed) lyrical flow.
