Craigslist Post of the Year: The Situation 'On the Ground,' Music and $ (St. Louis)

Posted By on Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 5:08 PM

A reader alerted me to this amazing, intelligent and well-crafted Craigslist post (yes, they exist) regarding the St. Louis music scene, playing for free and how the economy affects shows and creating music. Read it right here. It was penned by someone who says "I'm a drummer and singer/songwriter, but mostly a drummer. I grew up in St. Louis and I've lived in a few different places, experienced their music scenes." I'd actually like to know who this anonymous poster is, so if it's you, please email me; it won't be blogged, but I might need to pick your brain for an article.
