Stream, Buy and Download a New Ring, Cicada Album, History's End!

Posted By on Mon, Jan 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM

Here's something I never expected to see: Semi-dormant post-rockers Ring, Cicada have finally put their new album, History's End, up for download right over here. You can stream the entire LP at that link (and below), although the band is dropping some NIN-style science on anyone who ponies up $10 for actual files.

For starters, you can choose to download History in formats such as AAC, FLAC Lossless, Apple iPod, high-quality MP3 and OGG Vorbis -- while the band says, "If you buy here, you are gonna get first crack at limited edition vinyl and disc versions for a seriously discounted rate. We're keeping track, and we'll let you know when we get them."

Other pertinent info, says the group: "Recorded by Jacob Detering at Red Pill Studios in Saint Louis, Mo. Tracks laid down live with vocals and some other stuff added. Recorded late 2007-early 2008. John Horton laid a couple sweet guitar licks down on a couple of songs. All music by Ring, Cicada, 2009. Christian Powell, David Goodman, Aaron Zeveski, Drew Mader."
