Tonight! Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band at Off Broadway

Posted By on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 2:46 PM

Ignore the missing apostrophe in the band's name: Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band is totally worth checking out at Off Broadway tonight. The band's self-titled debut came out on Secretly Canadian subsidiary Dead Oceans, so you know it has some good old-fashioned '70s stoner-fuzz, but its tunes also don't skimp on the '90s slacker-indie vibe or math-rock fret-letting either. In short, RIYL Dinosaur Jr., Maps and Atlases, Minus the Bear.

The show starts at 8 p.m. and is a mere $8.
