Fubar To Start Hosting DIY Shows

Posted By on Thu, Sep 10, 2009 at 1:21 PM

Via a MySpace bulletin, from Fubar's Bob Fancher:

Fubar is now hosting some smaller shows in out lounge that are FREE and completely DIY- that means bands on the bill pull together the PA, and double as staff as far as sound engineer...we dont need security because these will be shows with all friends and DIY shit involved. we dont need door guys because the shows will be FREE. bands dont get paid either -- basically, we will be doing shows normally deemed as "basement shows" in the lounge. If you are interested in throwing one together or in being added to an existing bill, please shoot me a message regarding  FREE SHOWS
What do people think? The basement-show circuit has drawn some pretty excellent bands this year. Can it translate/work in a real venue?
