The Magnetic Fields in St. Louis in 2010

Posted By on Mon, Nov 16, 2009 at 6:59 PM

Here's one I didn't see coming: The Magnetic Fields will be performing in St. Louis at the Pageant on Saturday, March 6, 2010. The reserved show tickets cost $26 and go on sale this Friday at 5 p.m. The band has a new album, Realism, out January 23, and it's described on the band's website like this:

Swerving from the unrelenting feedback pop of [2008's] Distortion, this record explores the various genres under the umbrella of folk. Stephin says, "I thought of the two records as a pair, and I initially wanted them to be called 'True' and 'False.' But I couldn't decide which I wanted to be called 'True' and which I wanted to be called 'False.'"
