Tonight! Ghost World at the Schlafly Bottleworks

Posted By on Wed, Jan 6, 2010 at 10:01 AM

Ghost World, the 2001 movie based on Daniel Clowes' graphic novels, will be screening tonight at the Schlafly Bottleworks as part of its Strange Brew: Cult Films series. $4 gets you in, and the film starts at 8 p.m. Starring Thora Birch and Scarlett Johansson, the film's use of music is superb and suitably noir. Here's a scene featuring the twinkly sounds of "A Smile and a Ribbon," from the 1950s sister act Patience and Prudence.
