Happy Birthday, "What a Fool Believes"!

Posted By on Wed, Jan 20, 2010 at 6:07 PM

31 years ago, something shifted in the cosmos. No, that wasn't disco's death throes, or the burgeoning new-wave movement. It was the Doobie Brothers, releasing the classic, legendary "What a Fool Believes," a song featuring Ferguson's own Michael McDonald on vocals. How awesome is this song? Quite -- we've blogged about it several times before. But as it enters its fourth decade, we salute it.

[Edit: EVEN BETTER: When we Tweeted about this, a Michael McDonald Twitter-bot retweeted our post and added appropriate song lyrics. Go follow this account now, because it's clearly the best thing ever.]
