Local Metal Legends Anacrusis Reuniting

Posted By on Wed, Mar 3, 2010 at 4:42 PM

Locally based metal legends Anacrusis have reunited. From 1986 to 1993, the quartet toured with groups such as D.R.I., Megadeth and Overkill and released several albums on the well-respected label Metal Blade. Last year, Stormspell Records released the CD/DVD comp, Annihilation Complete: The Early Years Anthology, which featured Anacrusis' demo and video footage of vocalist/guitarist Kenn Nardi's pre-Anacrusis band, Heaven's Flame.

On April 18, the group will be doing a free, all-ages show with all four original members -- the first one in over twenty years, says its website -- at T. Billy Buffett's (9004 Overland Plaza; 314-427-1616). A week later, it'll be playing the "traditional heavy metal festival," Keep It True XIII, in Germany. Below, live footage from a 1993 show at Mississippi Nights.
