Local Musicians Gather to Benefit Ex-RFT Writer's Play

Posted By on Mon, Mar 8, 2010 at 2:15 PM

On Thursday night at the Schlafly Tap Room, local musicians of the present (and past) will be gathering for a benefit for the Taffety Punk Theatre Company. The nonprofit is presenting the play Burn Your Bookes, which was penned by ex-RFT music editor Richard Byrne. He says:

A couple of St. Louis bands from my era -- Stillwater and Free Dirt and a permutation of Chris King's Three Fried Men -- will reform for the gig. Magic City and Leadville will also play. And there will be a set by Brian Henneman and Mark Ortmann as well. So it's a pretty jam-packed Thursday night of music.

The night costs $10, which automatically enters you to win door prizes. And who doesn't love door prizes?
