Lyfe Jennings Cancels Duck Room Show Because of Jail Time

Posted By on Thu, Sep 23, 2010 at 7:25 AM

Late last night, Lyfe Jennings' September 25 show at Blueberry Hill's Duck Room was canceled. No official reason was given. (Refunds will be given at the point of purchase.) However, it looks like Jennings has a very good reason for not showing up: According to multiple sources (including our sister paper, the Seattle Weekly), he was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in jail yesterday. Billboard reports that the sentence was the result of a scuffle he had with an ex-girlfriend in 2008. Jennings posted a farewell message on his Twitter account yesterday -- a missive followed by this:

This is @TianaTopNotch Info on sending Lyfe fan mail n jail will be posted soon! We will keep holdin it down4 him... #teamlyfe :)less than a minute ago via ÜberTwitter
