Akron/Family, Dum Dum Girls Lead Billiken Club's Spring 2011 Line-up

Posted By on Thu, Jan 6, 2011 at 9:00 AM

The Billiken Club just announced its official spring 2011 lineup. Although some of these shows were unofficially announced several months ago -- C86 indie-poppers Dum Dum Girls, we're looking at you -- there are a few surprises. For many, the biggest booking is probably Akron/Family, the psych-rock-drenched experimental rock trio. (That band hasn't been to town since a Creepy Crawl show years ago.) Retribution Gospel Choir is returning to St. Louis with indie-folkers Peter Wolf Crier, while hotly tipped indie rockers Oberhofer are making their local debut. The full line-up's below. As always, these shows are free, with doors at 8 p.m. and the show at 9 p.m.

Reptar January 20

Oberhofer, "I Could Go" Oberhofer with Flaming Death Trap and Dubb Nubb January 26

Peter Wolf Crier and Retribution Gospel Choir February 1

Dum Dum Girls, "Jail La La" Dum Dum Girls February 23

Akron Family, "Ed Is a Portal" Akron/Family with Delicate Steve February 28

Southeast Engine with Theodore April 8
