Pop's Is Closed. Seriously: Pop's Is Closed. The Snowpocalypse is Nigh.

So, all of the cancellations and whatnot of shows we've been tracking are, well, rather expected. However, we just caught wind of something that REALLY makes us concerned for the blizzard/storm that's coming:


Yes, you read that right: POP'S IS CLOSED.

The venue St. Louisans (and Illinoisians) can always count on to be there for us, no matter what hour of the day, no matter what state of inebration -- Pop's 24-7, for crying out loud -- is closed. On Facebook, the venue gives more detail:

Due to the weather, Pop's will be closed as of 4pm Monday night. We will evaluate the weather Tuesday and make a decision based on that. Yes, it is true, Pop's..... is closed...

I think we can now safely say with authority that Snowpocalypse 2011 is no joke.
