Plenty to do this weekend in the Lou, what with the Legends of Hip-Hop Tour featuring Salt-n-Pepa and the return of the Fleshtones (albeit sans Bunnygrunt). Right here at the RFT's main music page you can find some other recommended shows which appeared in the print edition - and, as always, ten more excellent events right down below.

Friday: Lee MacDougall @ Cicero's Heartfelt U.K. singer-songwriter MacDougall charms with spare acoustic tunes. With Thomas Jefferson, Morgan Nusbaum, Derrick Streibig. 8:30 p.m. $8.

Now, Now @ Off Broadway Now, Now (which has dropped the "Every Children" from its name) brings its sweet co-ed electro-pop back to town. With Santah, the Breaks. 9 p.m. 21-plus: $8. Under 21: $11

Homegrown Showcase @ the Pageant Locals only rule the night, as Heroes of the Kingdom, Option//Control, Shame Club and Ready the Cannons take the stage. Free if you print a ticket at thepageant.com/homegrown. $5 otherwise.

The Gramophone's Three-Year Anniversary Uncle Lucius and Waterstreet help the Grove venue celebrate three years in existence. Happy birthday! 9 p.m. 18-plus. $7 + $3 minor surcharge.

This Must Be the Band @ 2720 Cherokee The Chicago Talking Heads tribute starts your weekend off crosseyed and painless. 9 p.m. 21-plus. $10.
