Even with the instant gratification and knowledge of social media, there is still something about the art of the show fliers that cannot be replaced. This week, we ventured to the Grove and Cherokee Street to bring you this week's shows in fliers hanging on the walls, counters and windows of the Atomic Cowboy, the Gramophone, the Handle Bar, the Mud House, Off Broadway and Foam Coffee & Beer.

The Firebird brings Blitzen Trapper to St. Louis on July 23 and Magic City releases Les Animaux Épouvantables that night at El Leñador. The Dear Hunter, still fresh off the release of its ambitious The Color Spectrum, will play at the Firebird on Tuesday, July 26.
