RFT Music Is Hiring

Posted By on Wed, Aug 24, 2011 at 1:12 PM

We're looking for some new voices to go with our facelift. If you can write and think it's a waste to grow old with perfect hearing, we'd love to hear from you. We have freelance openings on this blog for people interested in reporting on the inner workings of the St. Louis music scene and providing commentary on tidbits and trends from all corners of the music world.

There are no restrictions on sensibilities. As a matter of fact, the less a certain kind of music is currently covered on the site, the more we're hoping to find people to write about it. The ability to write cleanly and meet deadlines is a must; a familiarity with blogging platforms is helpful.

If you'd like to apply, email me a cover letter with the subject line "WRITING FOR RFT MUSIC." Please include a couple writing samples, published or not. Feel free to attach a resume, but it isn't required.

If this doesn't interest you, but you have a friend who is always roping you into discussions about pop stars' psyches and commandeering the iPod or record player or whatever at social gatherings, please pass this along to that friend.
