Final Update: The Hold Steady, originally slated to play from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., will now play the Roots' headlining spot from 8:30 to 10. Questlove will DJ in the Hold Steady's original spot.

Update, 7:20 p.m. Questlove will play a DJ set in place of the full Roots set, according to his official Twitter page. He will also still be DJing the after party at the Gramophone.

Update, 7:00 p.m.: Questlove has announced he will still be DJing the LouFest after party at the Gramophone, in a recent post on his personal Twitter: "CHICAGO/ST LOU: YES: the roots won't be performing due to travel mess w/ Irene. BUT since I'm here already I will still DJ the parties RT."

The Roots has canceled its LouFest appearance due to travel concerns related to Hurricane Irene, we have just been informed by the festival's organizers.

The band was scheduled to headline tomorrow's opening day. LouFest organizers are currently working to account for the change -- we'll keep you posted about any related set time changes or substitutions.
