The Ten Best Things to do in St. Louis This Weekend: September 9 to 11

Posted By on Fri, Sep 9, 2011 at 4:04 PM

  • The Features play tomorrow night at Old Rock House

The short week has ended and there's plenty of live music to get your ears ringing through the start of fall. Javier Mendoza is releasing a CD tonight at Old Rock House, Bon Iver brings the woodsy yacht rock (we guess?) to the Pageant on Sunday and there's a benefit show for WORK/PLAY and the St. Louis Secret Sound Society at the HandleBar. Plus, An Under Cover Weekend is upon us, whereby ten ambitious local bands take on a full set as a beloved icon of music. Bo and the Locomotive will be performing as Cake, which, incidentally, is also in town this weekend for Pointfest. Can we resist the have your Cake and eat it too joke? Obviously not.

Oh and some band called the Urge is officially reuniting at Pointfest as well. Drink it all in.
