Update, 11/7/11: The December 23rd show is now also sold out. Tickets remain for the 21st and 22nd only.

Update, 11/4/11: The first two shows, on December 16th and 17th, are now sold out! Original post follows.

The Pink Floyd tribute juggernaut El Monstero has just announced its annual collection of shows at the Pageant: There will be five this year, on December 16, 17, 21, 22 and 23rd. Tickets are on sale now and cost $25 in advance or $30 day of show -- reserved balcony spots are $35.

This year, El Monstero added a (very succesful) summer show at Jefferson Barracks Park. The spectacle the tribute act is known for reached new heights (quite literally) on the outdoor stage, and we have no doubt that this year's Pageant shows will hold new surprises.

We interviewed bassist Kevin Gagnepain before this summer's show, and the conversation touched on the relationship this show has had with this city.

Kelsey Whipple: How much of your success is tied to your connection to St. Louis?

Kevin Gagnepain: I think that's entirely why we are successful. It's not a part of it: It's the whole reason. The fans have an equal stake in the show at this point, and that's what makes it great.
