One of this city's most beloved bands, Rum Drum Ramblers, got a good national look over the weekend with a new Daytrotter session.

Hopefully this will introduce a few new fans to devout Rum Drum fold. And here in St. Louis, we now have a new recording of some highlights from the band's catalogue: Three cuts from this year's Mean Scene and one older track.

Sean Moeller's accompanying hunk of description offers a way into these songs. There are, of course, an infinite number of backdrops for any music, and his certainly captures something true about the band. For our part, we'll take a Stag and some punks and a sweaty dance floor.

There's also something to be said for lone commenter "phillymcg" who pretty much nails it with, "Hoo boy!"
