Bruce Springsteen Tour Dates, E Street Lineup Announced

Posted By on Tue, Jan 24, 2012 at 9:52 AM

Bruce Springsteen's long awaited 2012 US tour dates are out and, at lest in this first batch, the closest he'll come to St. Louis is an April 17 show in Cleveland and an April 12 show in Detroit. A stop here could be announced at a later date -- there is a tantalizing week between the Cleveland show and one in San Jose. Short of that, it would probably have to be an extra run of dates in the fall; he'll spend the summer touring Europe.

The Boss is touring in support of his seventeenth studio album, Wrecking Ball, out March 6 on Columbia Records. This will be Springsteen's first tour since 1973 without saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who died last year.

The E Street Band lineup for this tour is Roy Bittan on piano and synthesizer, Nils Lofgren, Stevie Van Zandt and Patti Scialfa on guitar and backing vocals, Garry Tallent on bass, and Max Weinberg on drums. Violinist Soozie Tyrell and organist Charlie Giordano will play as unofficial members.
