4. Lynyrd Skynyrd - "Sweet Home Alabama"

3. Boogie Down Productions - "The Bridge Is Over"

1. Jay-Z - "Takeover" Takeover by Jay-Z on Grooveshark Jay-Z vs. Nas is the best hip-hop feud in which nobody died. "Takeover" from Jay's The Blueprint is the best track to come from this rivalry, and it solidified him as the victor. "Takeover" is dense with put downs towards Nas and his Mobb Deep crew, but the most effective is the simplest: "LAAAAAAAME." Now, Jay-Z is too smart to resort to simple name calling, and he could easily spit out smart-ass lines that put Nas in his place. So it is significant that, with all of his knowledge and ability, he goes with "LAAAAAAME," because it must be the most accurate word for Jay's opinion of Nas. Yeah, all is good between the two now, but the fact that Nas pretty much revitalized his career by signing to a then-Jay-Z-headed Def Jam records essentially puts his former rival in the driver's seat of the beef. "Takeover" is not the entire reason Jay-Z won, but it gave him an advantage early in the game.
