Friday (June 7):

Shana Falana w/ CaveofswordS, Frances with Wolves, Bug Chaser, DJ Lil' Daddy Reba McEntire @ The Heavy Anchor 9 p.m. | $5 Expect projections and lots of electro driven pop during this psych-induced show. Shana Falana, who hails from New York, performs songs from the recently released In the Light EP, while Bug Chaser promises a rippin' set before they embark on a tour of its own. (MS)

Kylesa w/ Blood Ceremony, White Hills, Lazer/Wulf @ The Firebird 7:30 p.m. | $15-$17 With two drummers, two guitars, bass, keys, synths and both male and female vocals, there isn't a lot that Kylesa can't do. With its dreamy melodies and psychedelic high energy, it's not hard to imagine the band as a heavier Sonic Youth. (Rick Giordano)

Lorn w/ Dolor, adoptahighway, 18andCounting @ Blank Space 10 p.m. | $5 Milwaukee's Lorn comes to melt the brains of Blank Space patrons this Friday. The prolific electronic artist has released albums on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder label and London powerhouse Ninja Tune. He also plays a mean game of wiffleball. (DH)

Ne-Yo @ Saint Louis Galleria 4 p.m. | free Because what better way to spend 4 p.m. on a Friday than to get day-drunk and see Ne-Yo at a mall? (DH)

The Skekses w/ The Red Squad, The Southside Jazz Ensemble @ Schlafly Tap Room 9 p.m. | free Schlafly Tap Room doing what it does best: Three top-notch locals for the low low price of nothing at all. Bring your dancing shoes! (DH)
