Comedian Kevin James Coming to the Peabody Opera House September 13

Standup comedian/TV/movie actor Kevin James is coming to the Peabody Opera House on September 13. Tickets range from $35 to $75 and will go on sale this Friday, June 14, at 10 a.m.

James is perhaps best known for his role as Doug Heffernan on CBS's King of Queens. He has also starred alongside Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider in the 2010 Happy Madison buddy comedy Grown Ups. (A sequel will be released this summer.)

James' television and movie work tends to receive mixed reviews from critics, but his everyman style of standup is generally well-received by audiences and critics alike. Check out this compilation of bits from his 2001 special, Sweat the Small Stuff, below.
