Merchandise with Wet Hair, Kisser, Times Beach and the Thumbsuckers at Blank Space July 24 9 p.m. / $5

Here's yet another chance to get your aggression out in the middle of a hot summer week. Merchandise (ex-Cult Ritual) is one of the most hyped bands on Earth right now, with good reason. The band's reverb-y post-punk is dance-y and anthemic, nut people still headwalk and slam dance to it. Wet Hair is coming from Iowa City to meet your noisy/synth-y needs. Kisser comes off like the soundtrack to a drug-induced paranoia breakdown. Times Beach are a raw pop band. The Thumbsuckers are coming down from Chicago (also ex-Masculine Journey) to upstage Times Beach and continue the Cain and Abel feud between the brothers Plant.
