Daniel Hill made it back from the Gathering of the Juggalos alive, you guys! Let's celebrate by seeing some shows while he slowly adjusts to a regular, civilized life (sort of) once again. Plenty of great local releases await this weekend including new tunes from Dock Ellis Band, Bruiser Queen and Black Fast. Read more about these and more recommendations after the jump.

Friday (August 16):

Afroman w/ Beach Bum Alcoholics, DJ Broz, VibeSteady @ The Demo 7 p.m. | $12-$15 Afroman's back! Stick around later on to catch an after-party with Sidewalk Chalk.(MS)

Dock Ellis Band Album Release w/ Diesel Island, John Krane @ Off Broadway 9 p.m. | $10-$13 Preview the new album Bad Songs and Waltzes and head to South Broadway to see the honky-tonk in action. (MS)

Homecoming: Back to the Bassics w/ Tim Ismag, DJ Dara, Locknar @ Old Rock House 8 p.m. | $12.50/$20 Tim Ismag travels all the way from Russia for a DJ set at 2720 Cherokee. In Soviet Russia, bass drops you! (DH)
